Wait. Actually, everyone forgot, because two days later, the Bush administration unleashed a blizzard of dire warnings about impending terrorist attacks. FBI Director Robert Mueller intoned such attacks were "inevitable," and the Department of Homeland Security announced the imminent, explosive destruction of all American railroads, along with the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty.

Who can forget the incredible scandal that erupted back in June of 2003? Over the course of two days, reports emerged about serious doubts held by the CIA regarding the credibility of the administration's claim Iraq tried to buy uranium from Niger. On the heels of this, Congress unfurled its 9/11 report, which criticized all levels of the Bush administration for its performance before and during the attacks.

Wait. Actually, everyone forgot, because the Bush administration unleashed another blizzard of warnings about impending terrorist attacks. Specifically, the Department of Homeland Security warned terrorists were, once again, preparing to attack the United States with suicide missions using commercial airliners as bombs...

Kucinich announces impeachment charges against Vice President Cheney

After a series of delays, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), a candidate for president in 2008, announced a series of charges against Vice President Dick Cheney in Washington, DC, late in the day. Kucinich alleged that the Vice President had committed a series of impeachable offenses, and he was therefore introducing Articles of Impeachment against Cheney in the Congress today. Kucinich started off by reading the opening words of the Declaration of Independence, arguing they were "instructive at this moment."

I've had it. Normally, I spend my day at my desk, with a computer screen and a TV staring at me. I write, edit, program, correspond, all while listening to the news-- usually CNN or MSNBC-- occasionally, to see how the garbage is being presented by the Whitehouse propaganda network, I'll even switch to Fox News, until the stink reaches intolerable proportions-- usually less than five minutes.

This past week, all the stations have been intolerable. At a time when the Iraq disaster is getting far worse, when corruption is coming out so fast that Bushco's whack-a-mole cover-ups have not been able to keep up, our national media go psycho bonkers on covering the VA Tech massacre, filling in gaps with Anna Nicole's baby and the NASA nut...
